The Knoxville Lightning is an all women tackle football team. The team was started in 2014 by Lena Bennett and is currently Co-Managed with Melissa Reyes. The team is funded by local donations, sponsorships, and players. We are proudly affiliated with the WFA (Women's Football Alliance) and play teams in the Division III conference. Women over the age of 18 are always welcome to join the team. We begin training in November and games start in April.
